Who We Are
Saving Grace is a ministry to the “lost” and those who are in need, in the city of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
We are located in the very core of the City at 494 Pelissier Street, on the corner of Maiden Lane and Pelissier Street. God is so perfect in all his ways that we are exactly where we need to be.
We know, and it has been proven here so often, that hearing the Word of God, believing that Jesus Christ died for our sins and asking Him into our lives as Saviour will change us forever. As the Holy Spirit takes over, we are transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light.
Only then can we begin to experience victory in the battle against drug and alcohol addictions and the many worldly oppressions that have reigned over us for so long. That is why we’re here, to tell people the Truth. The Bible says in 2nd Corinthians 10:4-5, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (natural) but mighty through God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
While teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ is our first priority, we are also committed to meeting people’s practical needs. Daily, we distribute clothes and food as well as furniture and household items. We are strictly supplied by God only,
through donations to the ministry from good people from many different denominational backgrounds who have a heart for the lost.
We are an Evangelistic outreach Ministry on the “front lines” and as such our foundational scripture is Isaiah chapter 58 verses 6 through 12:
“Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?
Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,
and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;
when you see the naked, that you cover him,
and not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
your healing shall spring forth speedily,
and your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer;
You shall cry: and He will say: “Here I am.”
If you take away the yoke from your midst,
The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness.
If you extend your soul to the hungry
And satisfy the afflicted soul,
Then your light shall dawn in the darkness,
And your darkness shall be as the noonday.
The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water whose waters fail not.
Those from among you shall build the old waste places;
You shall raise up the foundations of many generations;
And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach,
The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.”
